24 weeks!!

I am finally in NC! Mike and I got to Mema and Papa's on Saturday. We really enjoyed spending time with them (and eating yummy food), even though there is never enough time.
Mike left on Sunday for Alabama. I miss him a ton already. We were spending so much time together and now we don't get to see each other at all. I know the time will pass quickly, but I just hate it. I don't make a very good military wife. I couldn't imagine him going overseas for months at a time. I would want to go with him!

Here I am at 24 weeks. It is hard to believe. November is going to be here before I know it and I feel so unprepared.
Here's Mema and Papa The Great.
Baby boy Stobie moves a lot more these days. He is growing so much. Sometimes I feel him move on opposite ends of my tummy at the same time. We are pretty certain that we are going to name him Dylan Michael. I guess the spelling of Dylan is up in the air, but right now I like it spelled that way.

23 weeks

I don't have any pictures this time because I'm lazy. The camera is down in the car and we are about to check out in a few minutes. We are in Wyoming right now on our way to Denver.

This past week was really hectic. We had a lot of little things to take care of, but now we are officially out of Montana! Well, the dog is still there, but in another month he will be out of MT too. Tucker is going to stay with the same people that he has been staying with this whole time. Mike is going to go pick him up after he is done with his training in Alabama.

We have a long four days ahead of us. Today we will make it to Denver, drop off my car, then start heading east. We should make it to Mema and Papa's (by-the-way, we are coming to your house Mema and Papa! I will call you today!) by Saturday, then Sunday Mike will go to Alabama.

We have to get on the road now! We will keep you updated.

Our house

We cannot believe it, but they accepted our offer!!! They didn't even counter us! We are still in shock. I had myself convinced that something would go wrong and we wouldn't get it. This is so exciting! We will be closing on August 14.

22 weeks

Yes, we are in yet another hotel. At least this time we are in Colorado Springs! We have been here since Wednesday night. House hunting is not as fun as we were hoping it would be. Thursday we met our realtor and spent time with him driving around different neighborhoods to see what we like. After that, he printed out every house in the areas we liked that were in our price range and met our criteria (at least 3 bed, 2 bath). Mike and I went through all of those Thursday night and made a list of 25 houses that we wanted to see. That's what we did on Friday. It was a LONG DAY, and eye opening. We learned that everything looks good on paper. Most of them were disappointing for one reason or another and some were obviously getting ready to go through foreclosure b/c the owners trashed the house and took everything from appliances to door knobs! After Friday, there were four houses that we knew we could live in. Saturday we looked at those houses again and a couple others that were a little out of our price range. That narrowed it down to two houses. We spent Saturday afternoon making Pros/Cons lists and the decision was clear. SO Monday morning we are going to go sign the papers to put in an offer. Keep your fingers crossed! We really like the house and the area it is in. It is actually just out of town, but that is where the city is heading. It's a great community.

We have not had a chance at all to tour the Springs like we thought we would. It is beautiful here. The mountains are right there! The city is clean and really nice. We know that we are gong to love it.

Here I am at 22 weeks. Time is flying. I don't know which is harder, finding a house or finding a crib! I am having the hardest time picking things out. All that baby furniture is so expensive.

This picture is from the ultra sound I had a couple of weeks ago. It is of his little feet, like the one I put on here at 12 weeks. They are A LOT bigger this time, and stronger! He has a little routine that I have picked up on. I know the times of the day that he will be up and moving. He loves to get his WHOLE body on my right side. It pinches when he does that but it looks so cool b/c my tummy is really lumpy looking. We felt him kick from the outside for the first time yesterday! I noticed he was kicking really hard and laid my hand on my tummy just to see and sure enough, I felt it. Then Mike had to keep is hand there for a little bit until the baby kicked another good one, and he felt it too! That was exciting.

Look hard, you will see the bottoms of his feet.

It's a boy!!

We are sitting in Mike's truck outside the Comfort Inn stealing the wireless Internet connection right now. You gotta do what you gotta do when you're a gypsy! I'll have to make this one short because it's getting hot out.

We are so excited to be having a boy! Mike’s biggest fear was that it was going to be a girl, then the next one would be a girl, then we would try again…and it would be a girl. He is so relieved.
We did not get to see the doctor because he was called to the hospital, but everything looked great on the ultra sound. The baby was moving around so much that it was hard to get good pictures. He loved sticking his little feet in the air and playing with his toes. It was so sweet! He weighs 15 oz so I will obviously be getting a lot bigger.

This past Saturday we went to Glacier NP to spend time with family. It was nice to see everyone. There was still a ton of snow up in the mountains which made the scenery gorgeous.

We are supposed to be in Colorado Springs right now, but we’re in Great Falls instead. Mike’s orders still have not come through, so he was not authorized to have his time off to go find a house. We are hoping to leave Wednesday and stay down there for a week.
We are staying at our friend's house right now while they are out of town. Tomorrow we have a hotel room on base for one night and then we will move again. See, we are gypsies! We are very grateful for the friends that have helped us along the way.
Even though this is a very stressful time, we are trying to enjoy our time off. Yesterday Mike went golfing with a friend and I walked with them. Tomorrow we are going floating down the Missouri with a group of friends, which is one of our favorite things to do in Montana. Can't wait!
