19 weeks!

We cannot believe we are going to find out what we are having NEXT WEEK! It has all gone by so fast. Nothing new has happened this week. Just starting to prepare ourselves for moving out of TLF. We check out Saturday morning. Things are going to be crazy from there. I will certainly try my best to keep up with the blog.

This past weekend we went to visit our dog. He seems to be doing just fine. Our friend said he didn't mind keeping him for as long as we needed, so that is a relief. We also went to see the movie Up. All I have to say is take some tissues! It was a killer. Great movie though.

Whew. I feel like it's been a month since my last blog. We have had so much going on. We are out of the house and staying in TLF (temporary lodging facility) on base. As it turns out, I did not cry when I left our house. I was so happy to be done with sleeping on that air mattress that I didn't think twice. To get off of that thing I had to roll off of it and get on all fours. It was a pitiful site.

By the way, our new address is:

General Delivery
Malmstrom AFB, Montana 59802

We have reservations at TLF for 10 days and then we will be kicked out. It is such a busy time of the year b/c there are a lot of military moves going on. My poor dog's address is:

Homeless
Great Falls, MT

They didn't give us a room that allows pets! We were so mad, but we had to keep our reservation. He is staying with one of Mike's friends right now, but we'll have to do something else with him by tomorrow.

So here I am at 18 weeks. I don't feel like my tummy has grown very much over the past few weeks.

Things are going to stay pretty hectic for a while. My last day at work is next Friday, June26. We are going to meet up with Mema, Papa, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Bob, and Emilee at Glacier NP from June 27 to July 1. Very excited about that! Then we come back to Great Falls, have a doctor appointment July 2 (we'll find out what we are having, finally!), and head to Col Springs to house shop for a long weekend. THEN, we will have to come back to Great Falls again so Mike can finish things up at work for a week. Probably the 13th we'll head back down to CO for another week. Then on to Alabama! It's a lot. I think I am going to have to buy on of those travel toilets for girls. Oh! Let's not forget that we have a 100lb lab that is going to be with us! Nightmare. We know everything will work out eventually. Our realtor in the Springs has been sending us listings that we may be interested in and we already have a great wish list. We are really excited about finding a new house!

We are also really excited about our appointment on July 2! They moved it up for us since we will be leaving so soon. The baby has grown and changed so much since the last time we saw it. This appointment is going to be amazing.

A lot of things have happened in the last couple of days... #1 my cousin Melissa found out SHE'S HAVING A GIRL!!! So Exciting!! #2 Mike and I found out that we are leaving Montana sooner than we thought. Long story short, he is trading training dates with another guy who really needs to go to in September. So Mike has to be in Alabama at the end of July. Every week is going to be jam packed until then, including going to Col. Springs to find a house.

Tomorrow the packers come. Our house is destroyed right now, and it's only going to get worse. We feel like we have tons to do, but we're not really sure what. I guess the packers will take care of everything.

So here we are at 17 weeks. I have started to feel the baby move around a lot. It's so cool. I felt it about two weeks ago for the first time and I knew exactly what that little flutter feeling was as soon as it happened. It happened one more time about a week after that, and this week it has happened a lot. I love it!

This past weekend it snowed! Nothing stuck to the ground, thank goodness.
So starting Thursday we will have nothing in our house except an air mattress, a small TV, and our clothes that we don't want the movers to take. Sunday will be our last night in our first home.... I'm sure I'll cry!

16 weeks

It's been a long week and a half! Mainly because I think I have been awake the whole time. This past Friday I must have picked up a bug. I could not keep any food down and I was up most of the night. Saturday I stopped puking, but still did not feel very good. Sunday I finally felt better. I have been having a hard time sleeping. I just can't get comfortable. My work schedule has changed to working in the mornings, so the nap I used to take before work is no longer an option. It has been difficult.

Since we live so close to Canada, we get a lot of their geese. One of my favorite parts of springtime here is when all the babies are hatched. They are tiny and surprisingly bright yellow. I have been meaning to get some pictures of them before they get too big and turn into normal annoying geese, but I manage to forget my camera every time. Well, Mike and I were on a mission Sunday to find them, and it wasn't very hard....

They are getting big now and are not as yellow, but still pretty cute.
Last night we had our second annual MS Fundraiser. It has been a lot of work to get it together and I am so happy it's over! We had a live band and lots of food, beer, and people. Everyone had a great time. My boss does such a great job of helping me put this together. She knows so many people around town that are willing to donate the things we need to make it all happen. We raised $2,427.00 in just one evening.

This is my boss Jo. I am 16 weeks.

Today I had another doctor's appointment. My normal doctor was not there so I met with a nurse midwife, who is actually one of my clients. I was REALLY hoping for an ultrasound, but I have to wait until next time. I wanted to see if we could tell the sex of the baby, darn it! We did get to hear the heartbeat. As soon as she put the thing on my tummy the beat was there, but the baby didn't like it and started to move all around. Everything checked out just fine. We have to wait 6 weeks for our next appointment! That is going to feel like forever.
